The MelodyTM

The Melody Cable offers a 20awg solid copper conducting core, the same as the Evidence Audio Monorail, but with added shielding that protects and facilitates a tighter, more proper fit with solder plugs (outer diameter is about .275”). The Melody is excellent as an instrument cable, yet it is still flexible and small enough to squeeze between effects pedals.

Patch Cables:
We have been very pleased with the results from testing the Melody Patch Cable used in combination with the plugs we offer: Switchcraft 228 Flat Plug, Switchcraft 226, Switchcraft 280, Amphenol ACPM-RB, and the Neutrik NP2(R)X-BAG. We recommend lengths of at least 6" to ensure maximum durability and flexibility.

Instrument Cables:
Long cables will be terminated with Neutrik NP2X-BAG (straight) and/or NP2RX-BAG (right angle). Please choose the desired connectors in the drop down menu when ordering. Cables can be made to any desired length. If a required length is not listed in the menu, contact us.

Additional:
The Melody cable, like all cable, is directional. This means sound travels through it with better tonal qualities in one direction than the other. This will be signified by an arrow on the included heat shrink. The arrow points to the destination (amplifier) path of the signal (the "IN" side of pedals). For shorter lengths, the large heat shrink is not required as it does hinder flexibility. In these cases, directionality will be signified by a smaller red heat shrink on the destination (amplifier) side.

A dual-wall adhesive heat shrink is added to the "source," or guitar side of all Melody and Lyric HG instrument cables to increase support and protection of the cable as this area is subject to the most stress over time.
